New Whitech Contract for Russian Sanitaryware Plant

ZAO Fayans has signed a new agreement with WHITECH (the sanitaryware division of Siti-B&T Group – Formigine, MO, Italy) for the supply of a new intermittent ASTRA kiln for firing and re-firing sanitaryware.

WHITECH, a division of the group working in the sanitaryware market, in which the resources and experience of Siti-B&T and SIR automations come together, strengthens the industrial partnership with the customer and gathers the initial results of the new technical and organisational offer of Siti-B&T Group .

The company said that development of an intense technical and technological collaboration relationship with the customer, combined with the special features of flexibility of the firing systems of Siti-B&T, have enabled the achievement of outstanding qualitative and quantitative parameters, with special attention to reductions in energy consumption: all the devices comply with the set standards of the Greenergy design project of the company.

The new ASTRA kiln, with a useful loading volume of 59m³ and a loading surface on two levels, arranged one over the other of 78m², will indeed assist the intermittent kiln already installed successfully in 2007.

The thermal machine, dedicated mainly to firing, is for a production rate of 150,000 pieces per year. With this agreement, ZAO Fayans will double its annual production rate, reaching approximately 300,000 pieces per year, reinforcing its name in the market. The production mix that currently envisages 90% of WCs can easily be modified for future market requirements, thanks to the flexibility of the machines supplied under this latest contract.

The new line will start producing within the first few months of 2010.
