Imerys Performance Minerals North America Increases Prices on Select Products
Imerys Performance Minerals North America (Atlanta, GA, USA) has announced product line specific price increases generally ranging from 4% to 7% and greater on certain specialty items, subject to any provisions in individual contracts.
The increase, across its mineral portfolio including calcium carbonate, mica and kaolin, is effective from 1 January 2010 (or as current price agreements expire).
The company said that in an effort to continue to be a long-term sustainable partner, it had been forced to increase prices on select product lines. It added that it was committed to investing in new products, technology and people to continue to be the market leader in mineral products. The goal is to offer its customers cost effective and value-adding alternatives to numerous formulation materials and components.
