Former President and CEO of Vesuvius Group Joins IFGL Refractories Group
Giancarlo Cozzani, former President and CEO of Vesuvius Group (Brussels, Belgium) has joined IFGL Refractories Group (Kolkata, India). Mr Cozzani has been appointed as a non-executive director of Monocon International Refractories Limited in the UK.
Mr Cozzani has extensive knowledge and experience of the refractories and steel industries. He was instrumental in steering Vesuvius Group from a US$100 million turnover to over US$1 billion turnover group. He will be based in Europe and advise IFGL Group on future expansion of its refractory business.
IFGL Refractories, an Indian multi-national, is predominantly engaged in the manufacture of refractories and operating systems for use by producers of iron and steel. The group has operating facilities in India, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, the UK and USA. Its consolidated turnover for 2008-2009 was around Rs 400 crore.
