High Temp Fibre Optic Sealant Launched By Aremco

Fiber-Bond™ FO-380, a new high temperature sealant developed by Aremco Products Inc (Valley Cottage, NY, USA) is now used to seal fibre optic strands into stainless steel and ceramic ferrules for applications up to 380°C.

The sealant is a single part, water-dispersed, ceramic-silicone sealant that penetrates small gaps between fibre optic strands and provides exceptional adhesion to stainless steel and ceramic ferrules used to support fibre optic bundles for high temperature applications.

Aremco says that this sealer demonstrates excellent moisture resistance and dielectric properties across the operating temperature range.

Fiber-Bond™ FO-380 is formulated with a viscosity of 60cP and solids content of 21% by weight. It is applied easily by brush, dipping or spraying and sets at room temperature. It cures fully in 45 minutes at 230°C. Clean-up is accomplished easily with warm water and soap.

Fiber-Bond™ FO-380 is now available from stock in (US) pint, quart and gallon containers.
