Hydrogen Fluoride Analyser
The HFA has been developed to help industrial plant operators
monitor the level of fluorine emissions to atmosphere and fulfill their
statutory obligations.
Transportable Hydrogen Fluoride Analyser
The Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) Analyser overcomes many of the limitations
associated with
traditional methods of HF analysis and offers exceptional efficiency and versatility.
Continuous monitoring using the HF analyser offers numerous advantages including accuracy,
the ability to monitor short term trends, cost and ease of use, as well as avoiding the
delays associated with analysing batch samples.
Direct result reading: The analyser features a digital display, providing a direct read-out
of stack HF levels in mg/m3. As standard, this is corrected to s.t.p. and the equipment can
be programmed by the operator to give a reading corrected to the known oxygen concentration
in an individual stack. The instrument can also be adapted to provide a loggable output,
making it suitable for use within a process control system.
High accuracy: Accuracy levels are better than 5% of the reading.
This is achieved by sampling
at 200C, by removing the gaseous HF into the absorbing solution at the probe rather than
remotely, and by using a fluoride specific electrode for the measurement.
Easy operation: No special skills are required to operate, re-program or read the analyser.
The reference solutions are readily available, or may be prepared in-house if preferred.
Versatile: The ease of calibration and the range of probes/probe lengths available mean
that, if required, a single analyser can be used to monitor stacks of any size and where
conditions differ. In addition, the unit is easily transportable between stacks as well
as being suitable for use in a fixed position.
