Legal & Expert Witness Services
As legislation increases, so the number of legal claims increases. The duty of all manufacturers, retailers and service providers is to ensure their products meet the standard required by law. In the event of an insurance claim or criminal or civil claim then the role of an independent expert witness can be crucial to assess the true liability.
Our Expert Witness Service draws on the expertise of a core team of internationally regarded professionals, each with their own specialist knowledge. All of our expert work is carried out under the Civil Procedure Rules Part 35 or equivalent depending upon the jurisdiction. With the back up of our fully independent UKAS accredited testing laboratory No. 0013 along with the vast knowledge resource of the Information Centre, the thoroughness of our service is assured.
Our Expert Witness Service is backed up with dedicated training through Bond Solon on report writing, oral evidence and cross examination. Many of our experts have accreditation through the Cardiff University Expert Witness Accreditation Scheme.

Flooring
In instances where slips result in litigation, CERAM can provide an Expert Witness Service which draws upon an experienced team of internationally regarded professionals, with a specialist knowledge of flooring surfaces. All tests and inspections are conducted by trained and certified inspectors to the highest standards, with fully calibrated equipment, in accordance with HSE and UKSRG guidelines.
