Although focused particularly on the advanced ceramic, powder metal, hard metal and magnetics industries and their customers, the network has been attractive to a wider range of sectors including pharmaceuticals and food. As part of the DTI Materials Knowledge Transfer Network, PowdermatriX can help you access experts in almost every aspect of materials technology; light metals, smart materials, textiles, composites and plastics. Our services include : Technology Translators help you benefit most from our activities, directing you to the best technical solutions and new opportunities. Regular newsletters, e-alerts and our web site keep you up to date with training courses, projects and funding opportunities. Workshops and technical meetings focused on topics as diverse as nanomaterials, effective powder characterisation and handling techniques, medical devices, free forming for rapid product development and titanium powder metallurgy. Delegate feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Technology Roadmapping to identify the challenges and research priorities to secure the future of both individual member companies and our key sectors. A growing range of collaborative research projects, giving you the opportunity to work with key British companies, university departments and research centres. Current projects cover advances in processing, fabrication of nano-structured ceramics for engineering applications, improving turbine performance and higher performance magnetic materials.
