Paul gained his Degree, a B.Eng in industrial Mineral Engineering from the University of Leeds and his Master's Degree in Chemistry with New Materials from Aberdeen University (specialising in areas of ceramic science).
During his Refractory Technology PhD, Paul studied and worked at CERAM focusing on refractory materials.
During his career, Paul has gained significant industry experience with Parkinson Spencer Refractories as a Research Associate and with Dyson Thermal Technologies as Group Technical Manager before recently re-joining CERAM as Principal Consultant for Refractories.
Paul has a vast knowledge of refractory applications through numerous sectors, including: glass, steel, super alloy, aluminium, ceramic, chemical and other non ferrous metallurgical areas for a myriad of applications. Additionally, he has a wide knowledge of both traditional and advanced ceramic-forming technologies.
