August Hits High Point for Yageo
Yageo Corporation announced that its August world-wide sales came to NT$1.516 billion, setting a record high this year. The August sales, which increased by 13% over July, were primarily driven by new products launched and ongoing improvements in the product quality and customer service. The accumulated sales from January to August totalled NT$10.184 billion.
The company's sales in the various regions all showed sequential growth in August. The net sales of Taiwan and Asia Pacific areas rose 9% to NT$419 million, contributing 28% of Yageo Group sales. China region sales posted NT$498 million with 22% month-on-month and 13% year-on-year growth and accounted for 33% of sales. Europe and NAFTA combined registered NT$433 million in sales, presenting a 10% month-on-month growth.
The net sales of Compostar were up 9% to NT$165 million, amounting to 11% of Yageo Group sales.
