August Sales Help Yageo Hit Seven-Year High
Yageo Corporation (Hsin Tien, Taipei) has announced that its world-wide August net sales reached NT$2.107 billion, up 12% month-on-month (m-o-m) and 17% year-on-year respectively, marking a new record high since December 2000.
The August sales growth was supported by solid demand from end markets in the peak season as well as ongoing product mix improvement. Accumulated sales from January to August increased by 10% year-on-year to NT$14.455 billion.
August net sales in all regions reflected an upward trend. China posted record revenues of NT$993 million, surging 66% over a year ago and up 22% m-o-m. Taiwan and Asia Pacific (AP) areas posted sales of NT$439 million while Europe and NAFTA combined contributed NT$511 million. Compostar and Chipcera collectively generated NT$163 million.
