Briefing Booklets on XRM Available from Oxford Instruments

Experts at Oxford Instruments have produced two new Technical Briefing booklets, entitled 'Energy Dispersive X-ray Microanalysis Hardware Explained' and 'Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Microanalysis Explained'. These aim to cover in a clear, unambiguous way such topics as the basics of each technique, how to choose between the two, how detectors work and the intricacies of how to choose a good detector.

Both booklets are free of charge and are said to be suitable for use by undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as by researchers and users in academic and commercial environments. They are available for download from the company's website or can be obtained from the company's sales departments.

"Here at Oxford Instruments, we believe it's very important that people make informed decisions," said Simon Burgess, X-ray Microanalysis Detector Product Manager. "We are happy that these booklets will provide the information required so that everyone can understand the technology at the centre of these techniques."
