WESGO Ceramics Celebrates 75th Anniversary

WESGO Ceramics, a division of Morgan Advanced Ceramics, is to celebrate 75 years as a premium supplier of custom ceramic components and braze alloys, as well as the grand opening of its new facility in Hayward, California. WESGO will host a celebratory party for customers as well as employees and their families at the 214,000 square foot facility.

The highlight of the celebration will be a poster exhibition in the main corridor detailing the history of WESGO as well as the construction of the Hayward building. Throughout the festivities, the factory will remain in operation so that attendees have the opportunity to see the manufacturing process in action.

Founded in 1927, WESGO has a long-standing history of developing and producing ceramic compositions and precious metal braze alloys from customer defined designs. Maurice Murphy, president of Morgan Advanced Ceramics Inc in the Americas, said: "From very meagre beginnings 75 years ago, we have developed the business to become one of the leading suppliers of braze alloys, ceramics and ceramic assemblies. We are delighted to open our new Hayward facility the same year as our 75th anniversary".

The Hayward facility serves as a manufacturing site for WESGO's ceramics and metals divisions, as well as the MAC-Americas corporate headquarters with 9,000 square feet available for future expansion. Approximately 300 people are employed at the facility.
