Ceradyne Opens Washington DC Office
Ceradyne Inc (Costa Mesa, CA, USA) has opened a new office in the Washington, DC area to support its lightweight ceramic armour business, with a strong focus on military ground-based vehicles. Marc King, long-time military officer and senior executive in military and defence-related matters, will head Ceradyne's efforts in this new office as Vice President of Armor Operations.
For the past 15 years since leaving military service, Marc King has held management and marketing positions in industry, primarily related to military ground-based vehicle armour and components.
Joel Moskowitz, Ceradyne's CEO, commented: "We believe this new presence in Washington will allow us to better communicate with and serve our military customers. The recent announcements of major lightweight ceramic armor contracts with the Army, Marine Corps, and other special fighting units for both body armor and vehicles all originated from East Coast procurement locations".
