Non-Destructive Wall Thickness Measurement System
The new MiniTest FH-7400 from ElektroPhysik (Köln, Germany) has been designed for the non-destructive wall thickness measurement of non-magnetic materials such as plastic, glass, ceramics and non-ferrous metals.
This will include: hollow parts such as bottles, aluminium cans, glass and plastic containers with complex shapes; short moulding parts like cups, cans and bowls; moulded and car body parts made of plastic; and fibre compound material and non-ferrous metals.
The following performance features are listed for this instrument:
-- Precision wall thickness measurement up to 10mm.
-- High accuracy and reproducibility through Sensor-integrated digital signal processing (SIDSP).
-- High resolution starting from 0.1 microns.
-- 20 readings per second.
-- Wear resistant sensors with hardened sensor tip.
-- Storage and statistical evaluation of 240,000 readings (maximum).
-- Display of minimum and maximum readings.
-- Menu-driven user surface.
-- Context oriented online support.
-- RS232 TTl and IrDA interfaces
