Trelleborg Enters Into Swap Agreements Nearing 10 Million Shares

Trelleborg AB has been authorised by a Special General Meeting to effect a synthetic share buy-back programme comprising a maximum of 20 million shares.

As at 21 September 2001, Trelleborg had entered into swap agreements corresponding to a total of 9,925,855 shares with its counterpart Svenska Handelsbanken. The number of swap agreements correspond to slightly more than 10% of the shares outstanding and during the day Svenska Handelsbanken released information about its holding in accordance with disclosure regulations.

Trelleborg AB publishes the volumes in the swap agreements entered into at the time of each quarterly report. The number of swap agreements in the synthetic buy-back programme corresponded to 3,267,600 shares at the most recent reporting date on 1 August 2001. On 30 August 2001, Svenska Handelsbanken informed that its holding was slightly more than 5%, corresponding to a total of 4,910,400 shares.
