Top Appointment at TOR
TOR Minerals International (Corpus Christi, TX, USA) announced on 13 September 2002 the election of Dr Olaf Karasch as Executive Vice President, Operations. Dr Karasch is currently Managing Director of TOR's wholly owned Dutch subsidiary, TOR Processing and Trading BV.
He received his PhD in Mineralogy at Rheinisch-Westfalische University in Aachen, Germany where he specialised in submicronisation (particle size reduction below one micron). Richard Bowers, President and CEO of TOR, said he was pleased that Dr Karasch had agreed to join TOR as an officer and to head the company's development efforts with respect to new generation titanium and aluminium pigments.
TOR Minerals manufactures pigments in Texas, Malaysia and Holland and markets these products world-wide.
