Terca Wins Award in UK

Terca Brick's Sandown factory has won the Walsall EBP (Education Business Partnership) Employer Award 2007. The factory is located in the West Midlands region of England.

This award was set up eight years ago to recognise organisations who it is considered have given outstanding support to Walsall EBP over a sustained period. Walsall EBP is aware of the tremendous help, support and time which many businesses give to schools through their extensive involvement with EBP programmes and this award is a way of acknowledging these companies.

The award is divided into three categories, based on the number of employees the business has. The Terca Sandown factory won the 50-199 employees category.

Terca's involvement with Walsall EBP over the last three years has included a number of initiatives including hosting Young Apprentice work placements, student site visits, organising a fishing competition for special school students, donating bricks to a school construction training centre and visiting schools to talk to students about the world of work.
