High Performance Ceramics Symposium
Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Materialkunde (DGM, Frankfurt, Germany) and Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft (DKG/German Ceramic Society, Koeln, Germany) have announced a symposium on High Performance Ceramics, taking place at the Europaeisches Industriemuseum Porzellanstadt Selb from 12-13 October 2005.
The four half-day themed sessions will contain both oral and poster presentations on a variety of topics, including functional ceramics, constructional ceramics, porous ceramics and bioceramics.
Main speakers scheduled for the event include: M Singh (NASA Glenn Research Center); O Oettinger (SGL Carbon); W Pannhorst (Schott AG); K Berroth (FCT Ingenieurkeramik); R Clasen (Universitaet des Saarlandes); G Schneider (Robert Bosch); G Ziegler (BioCer); and C Muench (Kerafol).
This symposium - Symposium HLK - can be booked on its own or together with attendance at the DKG's annual meeting. Prices range from 100 for students up to 500 for joint event tickets for industry. Accommodation at affordable rates is also available.
