Change in Wienerberger Shareholder Structure

On 29 August 2005, Wienerberger AG (Vienna, Austria) said that an announcement had been received - in accordance with the Austrian Stock Exchange Act - concerning a change in the number of Wienerberger shares owned by Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG.

Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG previously held between 5% and 10% of the voting rights in Wienerberger AG. The related stock was designated as underlying for the three-year bond exchangeable for shares of Wienerberger AG, which was issued by Bank Austria Creditanstalt in January 2004.

The above mentioned announcement indicated that the conversion of the bonds had reduced the stake held by Bank Austria Creditanstalt in voting rights of Wienerberger to below 5%. No other shareholders have informed the company of a holding in excess of 5%. Wienerberger has therefore become a 100% free float company.
