Spheric Technologies Names New Director of Sales & Marketing for Industrial Microwave Systems

Spheric Technologies Inc (Phoenix, AZ, USA), marketer of patented SPHERIC/SYNO-THERM™ high temperature microwave powdered metal and ceramic processing systems, has announced the hiring of Robert Desberg as Director of Sales and Marketing.

"Interest in our microwave furnace systems has been strong throughout the United States, Canada and Latin America," said Chairman Joseph Hines. "An experienced industry professional, Bob Desberg insures that we will effectively respond to our customers needs and significantly expand our sales and marketing program."

Bob Desberg is an accomplished executive with an impressive track record in engineered powder, metallurgical and wrought materials for products in the aerospace, defence, electronics and medical industries. He spent the last decade with H C Starck Inc, a global manufacturer of refractory metals and fabricated components for electronics, medical, aerospace and industrial markets. He served in product management, business development and sales capacities for the company.

Earlier, Mr Desberg was aerospace product manager for Hoogovens Aluminium Corp, metallurgical engineering supervisor at Agro-Tech Corporation (formerly TRW); senior metallurgical engineer (landing gear systems) for Cleveland Pneumatic Corporation (now BF Goodrich); and metallurgical engineer at Republic Steel Corporation (now Warren Consolidated).

"Bob has tremendous depth in our field, including technical knowledge, real-world industrial experience and extensive personal contacts," said Michael Kirksey, Spheric Technologies Executive Vice President and COO. "Bob will play an important role in building awareness of the benefits of SPHERIC/SYNO-THERM systems, and generating sales for us across a wide range of industries."

SPHERIC/SYNO-THERM™ high temperature industrial microwave furnaces are custom manufactured by Syno-Therm Co Ltd, China's largest microwave furnace producer. Spheric Technologies is the exclusive distributor for Syno-Therm microwave equipment in the Western Hemisphere. The systems are used to sinter metal and ceramic powders, using 80% less energy in as little as 1/10th the time as conventional sintering furnaces. Spheric Technologies also offers sublicences for microwave sintering based on technology patents developed by Penn State's world recognised Microwave Processing and Engineering Center.
