Siti–B&T Group Scores in Germany

Ströher, one of the world-wide leaders in the field of extruded clay products with headquarters in Dillenburg (Germany), has recently signed with Siti–B&T Group a contract for the supply of a new line for the production of fine gres flat extruded tiles, for inner and external use, and special shaped pieces (stair tiles, stair corner tiles, skirting and coved base).

The production capacity of the new line will be about 2,800 sq.m./day of glazed and unglazed tiles. The plant supplied by the Italian Siti–B&T Group will include a tunnel dryer with drying zone regulation in order to allow a curve fit to every type of product and thickness.

The other main features of the line are:

- large storage with production flexibility, thanks to the use of the storage boxes for the tunnel dryer

- energy savings with warm air recovery from the kiln to the dryer

- glazing line for extruded tiles and special pieces

- automatic sorting line and palletiser

The plant start-up is expected within the first months of 2008.
