KEMET Names Meeks Director of Ceramic Operations
KEMET Corporation (Greenville, SC, USA) has appointed Chuck Meeks as its Director of Ceramic Operations. He will report directly to KEMET Vice President of Global Manufacturing, Rick Rickenbach. In his new role, Chuck Meeks' responsibilities will include supervising all ceramic surface mount and leaded product manufacturing operations in the USA and Mexico, including the introduction of new products in Fountain Inn's advanced manufacturing facility and the high volume production of low cost commodity products in Monterrey, NL, Mexico.
Mr Meeks has been with KEMET for 21 years, serving in a number of organisational leadership roles, including most recently as the Fountain Inn Plant Manager. He holds a BSc in Ceramic Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University, SC, USA.
"Chuck brings to the table a significant amount of knowledge and experience in KEMET ceramics," said CEO Dr Jeffrey Graves. "He will play a vital role in KEMET's strategy going forward by continuing to build upon the strengths of our ceramic product line in an effort to achieve our strategic initiative to build a highly profitable portfolio of ceramic products."
