KIBT plays host to leaders in Innovation at 100% Detail

KIBT will be playing host to the building technology industry’s latest innovations at the forthcoming 100% detail exhibition on stand C24. The KIBT stand will include brand new product innovations from Daniel Platt, Simpson Strong Tie and RCS Pyro-Foam.

KIBT was launched in February 2003 and is a new initiative to assist companies to research and develop new building products and systems, undertake testing, carry out management of third party independent Certification to confirm fitness-for-use of new and innovative products, and to assist companies to introduce products to market more quickly and effectively.

KIBT are delighted to have the support of the three industry partners on their stand. General Manager Mervyn Kirk said “Our industry partners represent what KIBT is all about and will help to demonstrate how KIBT can assist other companies in developing new and innovative products”.

Simpson Strong-Tie will be exhibiting their ‘Safety Fast products’ which have been born out of changes to the Thermal Insulation Regulations and the required need to eliminate air leakage between floor and wall constructions. The Safety Fast Range includes Masonry Restraint Hangers, which can be used without the need for masonry constructed above the top flange before they can carry their designed load; and the Safety Fast Joist Cap, designed for use where timber joists are built into masonry walls. The two product ranges provide ‘the builder’ with a choice of solutions or may be successfully used in conjunction with each other.

RCS Pyro-Foam will be exhibiting Pyro-Foam - a structural, high fire resistance; pressure injected modified Phenolic foam, with exceptional thermal properties. Developed by RCS Pyro-Foam in direct response to insurance industry requirements for improved fire performance of composite panel cores, Pyro-Foam provides a breakthrough in foam insulation technology establishing a platform for a new generation of factory assembled construction products.

Daniel Platt has a history of combining traditional and innovative manufacturing techniques to produce natural clay building products. These include vitrified, durable, natural clay floor tiles for traditional, rustic or contemporary floor finishes, clay roof tiles, and an innovative range of "brick slips" for internal or external ceramic cladding. The range has recently been updated to include new textures, glazes and size formats. At 100% detail, the main focus will be on innovative methods of "off site" construction using the brick slip product within system build formats, and a range of natural clay and stone materials which provide floor finishes for every area of commercial building project.

KIBT are also grateful for the support of Baggeridge Brick (stand no C29) Ibstock (stand no C25) and Industrial Coatings Ltd, (stand no B24 ) who are also exhibiting with KIBT at 100% Detail.
