KEMET Expands Ceramic Portfolio
KEMET Corp (Greenville, SC, USA) has announced the launch of Ceramic Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) surface mount capacitors. The company is a qualified supplier of various military and high reliability specifications and the COTS programme is an extension of its knowledge of high reliability test regimes and requirements.
KEMET has for years supplied product that has been 'up-screened' by working with customer drawings and imposing the design and test requirements specified. The COTS product line will offer commercial surface mount MLCC components up-screened to the ordered test level. The COTS product line reduces the need for customer specific drawings used to achieve the reliability level required for customer applications.
Commenting on the launch, Senior Director of Ceramic Product Marketing, John Powers, said: "The addition of the KEMET Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Surface Mount series expands our ceramic portfolio in accordance with KEMET's longstanding commitment to the high reliability electronics community and our position as the 'Easy-To-Buy-From' company".
