Keller's New Concept for Dutch Brickworks

Steenfabriek Rodruza - at its Rossum Works (Holland) - has drawn up a new
packaging concept which very largely meets the dispatch requirements of its
customers. It is now being put into practice by Keller HCW GmbH
(Ibbenbueren-Laggenbeck, Germany). Rodruza is therefore one of the first
'new, old' customers to express confidence in the efficiency of the recently
founded Keller HCW, now owned by Ceric SA (Paris, France).

With the extension of the packaging plant, not only are 'Hulo' packs
assembled (as previously), but now packaging will be made on wooden pallets
measuring 1150mm x 420mm and 1130mm x 840mm. All types of pack can then be
given a film hood and be shrink-wrapped.

As a final stage, packs can be brought into the existing plant today for
subsequent application of film, fired as 'Hulo' blade packs and taken from
the kiln car, assembled as double blades and adjusted accordingly.

In the new switch cabinet, a Simatic S7 is also planned as an SPS-System
with an OP27 operating terminal. This unit takes over control of the new
plant units and exchanges the appropriate information with the existing
Simatic S5.
