Imerys Increases Prices On Performance Minerals And Fine Ceramics Products
IMERYS Performance Minerals and Fine Ceramics division announces the introduction of energy-related price increases on kaolin, ball clay and ground calcium carbonate (GCC) products manufactured in Europe with effect from 1st October 2004.
In the last twelve months the indices of energy prices have risen dramatically, well above the historic trend. This has impacted on freight and production costs, where energy is a major component. This cost increase is over and above the general inflationary pressures that, year on year, affect mineral processing companies.
These cost increases have already impacted on our current business, and as a result, Imerys will introduce average price increases of 6% on its Performance Minerals and Fine Ceramics products.
