New Information Portal to Boost Fuel Cell Development

Fuel Cell Today launched a new website on 11 September 2001 to accelerate the commercialisation of fuel cells. It is sponsored by Johnson Matthey and is described as a community-based web platform that brings together industry players to disseminate and share fuel cell innovations and to foster new investment and business partnerships.

"We want to increase communication and collaboration within the industry to get fuel cells to market more rapidly," says Dr Mike Steel, director of Fuel Cell Today. "Our site will also detail the uses and benefits of fuel cell technologies, to make everyone aware of the potential that fuel cells offer."

This entirely free service provides a single on-line location where users can access breaking fuel cell news together with leading-edge analysis and commentary from industry experts. They can search an extensive database of fuel cell related organisations, people and events, share information and opinions and contribute to a vibrant, industry-specific community.

"We plan to be the industry's most comprehensive information portal, offering support for every single fuel cell organisation, application and technology," said the website manager, Dr David Jollie.
