Dvarcioniu Expands Export Markets and Shows Strongly

Dvarcioniu Keramika AB, the major Lithuanian ceramic tile producer headquartered in the country's capital Vilnius, is set to be the only ceramic tile producer from the whole of the Baltics - and possibly the CIS as well - that will present its latest products at Cersaie. This exhibition is generally regarded as the world's most important ceramic tile show and takes place this year from 30 September to 5 October in its usual venue in Bologna, Italy.

In June, Dvarcioniu Keramika sold its products for the very first time in Kazakhstan and successfully presented its newest ceramic tile collections at the specialised international exhibition AstanaBuild 2003.

The company's Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Mr Z T Badikonis, said: "We are very satisfied with our first sales in Astana. Kazakhstan is a very promising market with big investments and huge constructions.

"People are missing modern European design and quality products; therefore, the exhibition AstanaBuild was an excellent opportunity to present our products and establish useful business contacts and expand export sales. In September 2003 we shall present our products in international exhibitions Kazbuild 2003 (Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan) and BakuBuild 2003 (Baku, Azerbaijan) and we hope for growing sales in the region of Central Asia.

"Kazakhstan is the 5th largest country in the world by oil resources; its GDP growth is higher than 10% and the average wage is highest in the CIS countries. At the exhibition AstanaBuild 2003, the stand of JSC Dvarcioniu Keramika was exceptionally popular - it was shown on television and in the local press - and was awarded the certificate 'The Best Dbut of AstanaBuild'."
