Early Successes for New Drying Company

A new player is emerging in the ceramic machinery and technology sector. Global Drying Systems Ltd (Cheadle, Staffordshire, England) has already completed various contracts for major companies, the most recent being for Poole Pottery in Dorset.

This involved the installation of six different systems as part of Poole's expansion/re-fit - comprising casting lines, mould drying, flatware and rotary cone drying. The project as a whole took four months to complete and was planned to minimise loss of production.

Other projects in which the new company has been involved see their activities extending into stoneware tableware (Denby Pottery), high quality hotelware (Dudson), wicket drying of decals (Fine Ceramic Transfers), and the closely controlled drying of specialist refractory products (Vulcan Refractories).
