Plug 'n analyse multielement analysis revolutionizes X-ray spectrometry

Fast, environmentally safe sample preparation and direct, reliable multielement analysis of solids, powders and liquids for process and quality control or R&D are the advantages of X-ray spectrometry. The innovative X-ray spectrometer generations of the 21st century are highly precise and sensitive analytical instruments that are characterised by minimal required floor space, simple installation, low maintenance and easy operation.

The newest developments in the area of medium power X-ray tube technology - eliminating the need for external cooling water - and super high transmission sealed proportional detectors - eliminating the need for detector gas and the replacement of proportional counter windows and wire - are prerequisites for such high-precision "plug 'n analyse" X-ray spectrometers. Spectrometers whose performance is no way inferior to that of the traditional 3-4 kW X-ray systems.

The S4 EXPLORER from Bruker AXS is the only plug 'n analyse X-ray spectrometer covering the full elemental range from Beryllium to Uranium with high precision up to 0.05 % rel. for major compounds.

Other unique features offered by this system include: no need for detector gas because of the innovative Pro4 Sealed Proportional Counter with the SHT Super High Transmission window (no gas installation, no replacement of gas bottles or detector foils, system stability is not dependent on detector gas quality, no down-time due to gas supply and no gas costs); no external cooling water thanks to the new 1000 W X-ray tube and intensity optimised geometry (no water installation, no water consumption, system availability not dependent on water pressure and quality, and no costs for tap water or a water chiller) and the complete system requires a floor space of less than 0.8 square meters, which means that it fits into every corner and keeps laboratory space costs at a minimum.
