Basic Refractories Plant Under Construction in Vietnam will be Country's Biggest

The erection of what is currently the largest production plant for shaped and unshaped basic refractories in Vietnam is coming close to completion. It is expected that within the year, the plant will be mainly supplying the domestic cement industry with refractory material.

From March to September 2000, the complete factory with a production capacity of 16,500 tonnes per annum, was erected near Hanoi by Laeis Bucher (Trier, Germany) as general contractor. Given the high quality requirements and compliance with the strict local environmental protection guidelines, this plant is said to surpass all existing installations world-wide, setting new standards in this market segment.

The Vietnamese state-owned corporation Viglacera, as customer, has confirmed to Laeis Bucher that it has handled the project professionally and on schedule, and Viglacera has already begun the planning of further investments.
