Fast, Accurate Standardless Analysis Upgrade

Philips Analytical (Almelo, Holland) reports that the latest technology for very fast and accurate standardless analysis used in its recently introduced MagiX spectrometers is now also available for the PW2400 and PW2404 XRF spectrometer range. The upgrade package includes the Dual Multi Channel Analyzer board, some electrical modifications and SuperQ 3.0 software.

Results of fast scanning with the upgrade using MagiX PRO solution are said to be comparable to regular scanning. In some cases, adds the company, measurements previously 15 minutes or more now take just 1 minute.

Quantitative concentrations of major and minor constituents are easily determined and traces may even be found when special attention is paid to the scan result. If specific elements are of interest, it is also possible to used a programmed channel on top of the scanning program to achieve higher accuracy.
