Ultra Fast and Ultra Fine Milling

With its new Ultra-Centrifugal Mill ZM 200, Retsch GmbH & Co KG (Haan, Germany) claims that it now offers a mill with unrivalled performance. The new Powerdrive is said to ensure higher performance with increased torque. Even with temporary overloads, the ZM 200 reacts with a powerful throughput.

The extremely rapid reduction in size increases the sample throughput in the laboratory and, in combination with the two-step rotor/screen pulverising system, is also said to be extremely gentle on the material. The ZM 200 can be used for the rapid comminution of different materials such as chemicals, powder coatings, plastics etc down to a size of 40 microns.

The ZM 200 offers, says, Retsch, a maximum of operating convenience. The parameters are easily set via the graphics and a one-button operation. Thanks to an electronic safety and diagnosis system, operating errors become almost impossible, claims the company. The wide range of accessories including the vibratory feeder DR 100, distance sieves for temperature sensitive samples and a cyclone with collector allows for a great number of different size reduction tasks to which this mill can easily be adapted.
