Tondach Completes New Roof Tile Facility in Hungary

The Austrian roofing tile manufacturer Tondach Gleinstätten AG has completed a new factory in the south-eastern Hungarian town of Békéscsaba, reports the financial daily Világgazdaság.

The HUF 8.8 billion (€33.20 million) facility will produce some 30 million tiles annually. The Hungarian branch of the company, Tondach Magyarorszag, which also has plants in Tata and Csorna in western Hungary, expects its annual revenue to rise by up to 50% to between HUF 17 billion and HUF 18 billion (€64.10 million to €67.87 million) as a result of the increased production capacity.

The new factory reportedly received a state subsidy of HUF 500 million (€1.88 million) and will create about 50 jobs.
