Schools Can Win Tiled Floor

To finish National Construction Week on a high, The Tile Association is sponsoring a design competition which will lead to the winning school having their design supplied and fixed by industry experts.

Schools just need to submit a design and enter it into the free Tile Association National Construction Week Schools Competition. The winning design will be created free of charge in a public area of the winner's school early in 2003.

From 10 October, the competition can be downloaded from the following website: www.ncw.org.uk

Alternatively, it can be downloaded from the Tile Association forum website at: www.tta.ac

This has been written in Microsoft Excel, a programme that most pupils are familiar with. Entrants must be in full-time primary or secondary education and entries must be sent to The Tile Association by e-mail before 31 December 2002.

The competition will be judged by the Tile Association, a representative from the two sponsoring companies - Shackerley Holdings and N&C Nicobond - and by Paul Finch BE, Group Editorial Director of The Architects Journal.
