Synoptics Receives Prestigious Business Recognition

Synoptics (Cambridge, England), a leader in the development and manufacture
of innovative digital imaging systems for scientific applications, has for
the first time been included in an elite technology league table - The
Sunday Times ARM Tech Track 100.

The company - consisting of the three distinct imaging divisions Syngene,
Syncroscopy and Synbiosis - was chosen from a database of one million
private UK companies after extensive research by Fast Track, the company
that compiles the Tech Track 100.

This is the UK's league table of fast growing unquoted technology companies
in which Synoptics was ranked 79th based on a sales growth of 67% per year
between 1999 and 2001.

Phil Atkin, Managing Director of Synoptics, commented: "We were delighted
to be nominated as one of the Tech Track 100 companies and to be actually
awarded a place on this exclusive listing is a great privilege.

"Winning this accolade shows we have been recognised as a highly
professional, forward-thinking company. It has also been a huge boost to
the staff at Synoptics to realise that the tremendous efforts of the team
and consequent success of our imaging instruments have not gone unnoticed."
