Symposium on Ultra-Fine Grained Structures

The 2nd International Symposium on Ultra-Fine Grained Structures will take place in Australia from 11-13 November 2003. The conference will deal with the latest developments in the production of ultra-fine grained metals through thermo mechanical processing. Of particular interest will be work related to the mechanical performance of these structures, the development of multi-phase microstructures and characterisation of the evolution of these structures.

While the 1st ISUGS conference had a particular emphasis on steel, this conference will consider a wide range of structural metals. Deakin University is the host for the symposium and the Institute of Materials Engineering Australasia (IMEA) is the administrative body responsible for all practical arrangements.

The accommodation and venue for the symposium is the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Geelong, Victoria.

Registration and further information is available at: http://www.mateng.asn.au/isugs/
