Brookfield Tackles Stiff Test

A leading name in viscosity measurement - Brookfield Viscometers Ltd (Harlow, Essex, England) - has launched a new instrument, the Soft Solids Tester SST 200.

Designed for use with pastes, gels, waves and particulate-laden slurries, the SST 200 uses vaned measurement systems and controlled stress methods to provide fast, easy and efficient analysis, says Brookfield.

The company adds that the instrument brings simple, yet powerful creep tests to the everyday quality controller or product developer. For new product development, the SST 200 is said to provide valuable data that relates to the sample's solid and viscoelastic characteristics.

For QC applications, it is said to offer fast, easy and efficiency measurement which is perfect for in-line testing on the factory floor. A Quality Control Mode feature makes pass/fail determination of batches simple and immediate recognition of batch failure is easy, even for non-technical staff.

Brookfield is now offering its widest ever range of instruments and to back this up has published a brand new catalogue.
