Baggeridge Scoop Five BDA Nominations

Baggeridge Brick (Sedgley, Dudley, England) has had five of its projects shortlisted for this year's national brick awards.

Organised by the Brick Development Association (BDA), the annual awards recognise and reward excellence in design and construction using brick. Baggeridge has performed most strongly in housebuilders' categories and, in doing so, has reinforced its successful and ongoing relationship with some of the UK's leading developers.

Projects have been shortlisted in categories for Volume Housebuilding Award for its work with George Wimpey on three sites in Kettering, Alcester and Inkberrow; Best Private Housing Development for projects in Solihull and Bearsted; Best Commercial Building for a Taylor Woodrow development in Newcastle's Quayside; and Best International Project for the Rathborne Village scheme in Dublin.

Alison Adderley, Baggeridge's Commercial Manager, is delighted with the achievement. She commented: “We work hard to go the extra mile for all of our housebuilder customers – developers are an extremely important distribution channel for us, so for five of our projects to be shortlisted is great news”.

Affirming its commitment in helping housebuilders become even more environmentally aware, Baggeridge has also been announced as main sponsor of the Sustainability Award at the BDA event.

Winners will be announced at the BDA's annual award ceremony, taking place at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London on 5 November 2007.
