Saudi-based Construction Group to Establish New Tile Plant

The Alfanar Construction Company group in Saudi Arabia has decided to diversify its activities by commissioning a complete ceramic tile manufacturing plant from SITI–B&T Group.  Alfanar is considered as an important social/economic business in Riyadh and is currently involved in the electrical plant engineering, telecommunications and building sectors.

The production line, which will be installed at the new tile manufacturing factory of Alfanar, will be able to produce a total of 10,500 square metres of glazed single fired red body tiles per day.

SITI–B&T Group will supply the whole line, which includes the grinding system with continuous mill for the preparation of the bodies; eight ball mills with various capacities for the preparation of the glazes; an SD 9000 atomiser; two EVO 2808/2180 tile presses; five-channel dryer measuring 14.7 metres; a single-channel roller kiln measuring 140.7 metres; and the whole storage and handling line.

Yet again, the group from Formigine will offer its technological know-how so that the customer will be able to obtain top quality single-fired glazed tiles to be sold on the local market and also to train the group’s personnel and technical service team.

The plant will be operative within the first quarter of 2008.
