SACMI Molds & Dies

Following four decades of success and the manufacture of over 10,000 moulds for every kind of ceramic tile, Sacmi Sassuolo has changed its name to Sacmi Molds & Dies. This is described as an image-conscious decision largely induced by the growing international nature of the enterprise which, in 2001, saw the inauguration of its third foreign branch (in Indonesia) following extensive experience in the USA and Mexico.

The company added: "In several countries around the world, this new name is already well known, as it is used to identify those greatly appreciated mold overhaul workshops which provide such close support to the ceramic companies. In-country workshops and plants, in fact, have proved to be extremely effective as they allow all kinds of molds (even non-Sacmi ones) to be overhauled rapidly by specialized technicians: a solution which reduces the costs and waiting times usually associated with complicated export and re-import procedures".

There has also been increased attention focussed on the domestic market, where contact with key ceramic manufacturing concerns has given the company a whole host of new ideas and opportunities for continuous technical development, building up that experience which is essential for proper training of the personnel that represent Sacmi world-wide.

Also announced is that Sacmi Molds & Dies is now the holder of ISO 9001 certification, obtained at the same time as the change to the company name was made.
