Sacmi Boosts Advanced Ceramics Business
Powder metallurgy and advanced ceramics are the two high-tech sectors in which Sacmi Group (Imola, BO, Italy) is investing in via the new 'Team' alliance and through Matrix, a recently acquired company specialising in the production of presses for the metallurgical powders industry.
Under the Team brand, which brings together the group’s very best advanced ceramic skills, Sacmi participated in Ace 2008, the Advanced Ceramics Expo of Shanghai, a key international appointment for the Asian area. At the same time, Sacmi also attended PM2008, the Asian fair specifically dedicated to the powder metallurgy sector, ever-more important for both the automotive industry and, more generally, environmental safeguard systems.
The Shanghai fair is the perfect showcase for Team, which also participated in the 2007 edition: offering outstanding skills that blend the innovative and technological capacity of Sacmi Imola with the know-how of companies from the Sama Group, Laeis, Alpha Ceramics, Riedhammer and Gaiotto, Team once again focuses on an industry that, according to the Institute of Ceramics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences – the fair’s organiser – is worth billions of dollars and offers good prospects for future growth.
