Continuous Milling at Centre of Moscow Ceramic Presentation

A talk on Sacmi-made continuous mills will be given on 20 October 2005 as part of an Acimac organised workshop in Moscow, Russia.

'The production process of ceramic tiles: specific features and new technological developments for Milling and Pressing Processes' is the title of this four-day milling and pressing technician training course organised by Italy's Acimac organisation. On 20 October, Sacmi will participate with a talk by the manager of its Milling Technical Service under the title 'Twenty years of continuous milling in the ceramic industry'.

The talk will illustrate the history of continuous milling: the first 1000kW continuous industrial mill with gear pinion transmission (installed at Ceramica Iris in Sassuolo, Italy in 1984) and the first continuous mill with belt transmission (installed at Ceramica Cleopatra, Egypt in 1994). So far, Sacmi has installed over 360 continuous mills all over the world.
