New Materials Measurement Research Programme
A new DTI supported programme - Measurement of Materials Systems (MMS) - has recently begun at the NPL Materials Centre (Teddington, Middx, England). MMS will develop the measurement requirements needed to fully exploit materials systems. Projects within the programme include:
- Standard Qualification Plan for Composite Materials
- Damage in Multi-Layered Systems
- Validation of Design for Multi-Layered Systems
- Interfacial Adhesive Strength
- Design for Fatigue and Creep in Joined Systems
- Performance of Multi-Component Metallics
