Marani Joins Acimac Board
Claudio Marani has been nominated member of the Board of Directors of Acimac, the Italian Ceramic Machinery Manufacturers' Association. Sig Marani is currently General Manager of Sacmi's Ceramics & Tiles division. He will replace Eugenio Emiliani at Acimac until the next general assembly in 2005.
"I'm honoured to have been nominated," he said, "as Acimac is one of the most important of all the Confindustria associations. I hope to make a positive contribution to the effective representation and promotion of all the companies in this industry, whether large or small, as they are essential to the economic performance of Italy as a nation and provide an outstanding example of how Italian technology is often the best in the world."
Acimac is the Italian association which represents and assists enterprises supplying complete plants, systems, machines, equipment, semi-finished products, raw materials and services to the whitewares and heavy clay/refractories industries. It represents a high proportion - 112 companies - of those active in this sector in Italy.
