Malaysian Tile Company to Invest in New Equipment

Johan Ceramics Berhad, the Malaysian tile manufacturing company, is set to invest around US$3.8 million on new production equipment for its plant situated at Senawang in Negeri Sembilan. Managing Director Raja Abdul Aziz Musa confirmed that the company was aiming to produce high quality tiles and other products.

Johan Ceramics hopes to export 15% of its production in the current year and to increase this to 40% next year. The company is reported to have entered a strategic partnership with Keraben (Nules, Castellon, Spain) to facilitate technology transfer. This tie-up is expected to boost local sales and help raise the export volume.
