Kyocera Develops New Ceramic Knives

Kyocera Corporation has added to its range of ceramic knives - first developed in 1983 - with a new development that it has designated the 'Fine' range. This is the first upgrade for four years.

In the product development stage, the company conducted an internet survey among 620 women aged from 18 to 49 all over Japan and also surveyed cooking schools to analyse their criteria for the selection of kitchen knives, their interest in cooking, their feelings about actually using a fine ceramic knife, their evaluations and their wishes.

The 'Fine' series offers three types of knife: kitchen knives, utility knives known as 'petite knives' in Japan, and fruit knives. Each type is available in two colours, black and white. All the models are being released simultaneously world-wide.
