Keller and Rieter Supply New Brick Factory in Russia

The foundation stone has been laid for a new brick factory with an annual output of 40 million bricks in Terbunsky, a village in the Lipezk region of Russia. The memorial stone for the company - OOO Terbunsky gontschar - was unveiled by Michael Selivanov, General Director of Atomenergomontag.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Oleg Korolov, the Governor of the Lipezk Region, as well as representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, bankers and representatives of the local administrative bodies.

This brick factory, which will produce high quality facing bricks and blocks, will on the one hand supply the mainly agriculturally orientated population with high quality building materials and, on the other, help to create new jobs in the area. It is expected that the factory will be ready to start brick production in late summer 2006.

The project work for the factory has been carried out by Keller HCW GmbH (Ibbenbueren-Laggenbeck, Germany), which was also entrusted with the supply of the required process engineering for the production and of the required documentation for the construction of the buildings and infrastructure. Rieterwerke (Konstanz, Germany) has been designated as the supplier of the preparation and shaping plant. Both Keller HCW and Rieterwerke are members of the Paris-based Ceric Group.
