International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology
The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) has announced the impending launch of the 'International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology', a new publication due out in January 2004. This quarterly periodical will provide the most recent information on ceramic product development and commercialisation for engineers, manufacturers and research and development scientists.
Led by an editorial board of experts from industry, government and universities, the journal is designed to get high quality information to end users. Both invited and selected papers will be peer reviewed by at least two referees to ensure technical quality, Dr H-T Lin, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN, USA will serve as Editorial Board Chair.
Each issue will focus in a high interest, high impact topic but will also include a range of papers detailing applications of ceramics. Special topics to be covered in the first year of publication will include: fuel cells; nanotechnology; ceramic armour; and thermal and environmental barrier coatings.
