Industrial Plasters Address a Number of Ceramic Products
US Gypsum says that industrial plasters from its Industrial Products Division offer low-cost solutions for a wide range of industrial product applications, processes and development opportunities.
The plasters provide a controllable setting performance few other materials can offer, according to US Gypsum. By adding accelerators or retarders setting times can be lengthened or shortened. Setting times can also be reproduced batch to batch.
The company is now offering four products that it has developed for the ceramic industry, as follows:
POTTERY PLASTER - a general purpose product recommended for most slip casting applications in the ceramic industry.
NO 1 POTTERY PLASTER - formulated to provide stronger, longer lasting ceramic slip moulds.
PURITAN (R) POTTERY PLASTER - a slightly denser, longer wearing mould material that is recommended for jiggering applications.
DURAMOLD POTTERY PLASTER - formulated to provide a longer lasting, more durable gravity slip casting moulds. It is used at a lower consistency than conventional pottery plasters.
